A supporter from Harefield has raised nearly £300 for us by taking part in a Tough Mudder Challenge together with his friends during August.

Gary Sexton, 31, completed the Tough Mudder Challenge 10k endurance course along with three friends. The course has a total of 20 different obstacles including monkey bars, crawling and climbing, taking you through mud, ice water and electrical shocks.

Gary said, “With my friend, Michael Perry, passing away due to cancer six years ago and my mum diagnosed with cancer for a second time recently, I wanted to try and do something close to my heart.”

The money raised will go towards providing very high-quality, next-generation cancer imaging services at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre.
