A gift of more than £600,000 left by a supporter in her Will has made a significant difference towards our £1.6m fundraising appeal for a new MRI scanner.

The legacy of £624,000 is one of the largest we have received to date and comes at a time when the centre is under significant financial pressures due to the extra costs we incur to keep patients and staff safe from Covid-19, as well as rising inflation rates.

Claire Strickland, Paul Strickland Scanner Centre CEO, said: “This legacy could not have come at a better time for us and we are extremely grateful to the very special person who remembered us in her Will. This is a particularly large gift, but we truly appreciate any gift of any size—no matter how small— as it all helps to support our work to provide our very high-quality scanning service for cancer patients and support medical research at Mount Vernon. Please remember us in your Will.

Legacy pledges help us plan for the future, so please get in touch if you’d consider leaving us a gift in your Will
