Throughout the first 6 months of this year, we have given updates on Andy Taylor’s immense challenge. Having completed 6 marathons in less than 6 months, Andy decided to get the girls at the school where he teaches involved, and held a running challenge for pupils in years 4,5 and 6 at Northwood College at the end of June. This completed Andy’s fundraising, bringing the total to a wonderful £12,374. Huge thanks to Andy and all the pupils who got involved too.
Cathy Kim was the President of Pinner Rotary between July 2025 and 2026 and had chosen us as one of her charities of the year. There was in incredible amount of work involved with the various fundraising events held throughout the year, and a total of £5,915 was raised for us during that time. Thank you to Cathy and all her fellow Rotarians for their very hard work and ongoing support.
We will be holding a Champions Coffee Morning at Mount Vernon Hospital on Tuesday 13 October at 11am. If you would like to come along for an opportunity to hear a fundraising update, and to chat with like-minded supporters, please get in touch, or indicate on the donation form.
The annual London Winter Walk will take place on Saturday 24 January and Sunday 25 January. A great event to wrap up and walk off the Christmas and New Year celebrations; maybe kick start a new fitness regime – and to fundraise for your favourite charity! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km distance options – and an accessible ‘Family Fun 5K’ on the Sunday. All routes start and finish at The Oval Cricket Ground, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s landmarks. Sign up as a team, or as an individual and families are welcome. There will be rest stops with snacks and drinks and hot food back at the finish before you head home.
