Captains’ Charity for 2025

Next year’s Captains of Moor Park Golf and Tennis Club, Sue Knight and David Lansdowne, have announced that we will be their
nominated Captains’ Charity for 2025. David and Sue will be holding various fundraising days and events during 2025 at the club.

Another successful Quiz Night

Another successful Quiz Night was held on 28 September at Greenfields Primary School. Hilary and Alan Coulson put together another challenging and fun quiz, and the school’s Head Teacher Kate Day provided food and ran the bar, helping us to raise a total of almost £2,500. The next quiz will be on 1 March 2025 – save the date!

    Congratulations to all our runners

    Congratulations to all our who took part in the big London events in September. Rick Wilmott and Jennie and Evie Wardle ran The Big Half at the beginning of the month, and Kristie and Kerri Wilmott with Ruby Disspain ran the Vitality 10,000 later in the month. Thank you so much to them all, for raising a collective total of ÂŁ1,700.

    Opportunities to get involved

    The upcoming London Winter Walk is a great event to walk off the Christmas celebrations, and to kick start your New Year fitness regime! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K (6.2 mile) options, both starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of London’s key landmarks. Families are welcome, there’s a free winter bobble hat and neck buff, rest stops with snacks, with a special medal and hot food at the finish. Join as an Individual or as a team.
