We held another very successful charity golf day at Denham Golf Club earlier this month raising over £11,500 for Paul Strickland Scanner Centre.
Money raised through the golf day will be used to make sure patients can benefit from leading edge scanning equipment and furthers medical research into cancer and other conditions.
The charity’s annual 18-hole team Stableford Competition at Denham Golf Club has become a long-standing event that golfing supporters look forward to every year.
This year, 16 teams took part on Tuesday 11 June. The competition was won by Flannery Plant Hire, with runners up Three and a Half Men in 2nd place and The Misfits in 3rd place.
Caroline Wren, senior fundraiser at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, said: “We had another great turnout again this year; the sun was out, and the team at Denham Golf Club were brilliant hosts as usual. A big thank you to all our supporters and golfers for their generosity and everyone who helped make this another amazing charity golf day. A special thanks also go to our volunteers on the day, in particular to Pam Holland and her helpers from Moor Park Golf Club. Auction and raffle prizes were kindly donated by local businesses and individuals. Here’s to next year’s golf day, with will be held on Tuesday 10 June 2025. We’ve already started planning the event!”
