Stepping Up For Cancer

Walkers have raised over £1,400 taking part in our Annual Stepping Up For Cancer charity walk

Over the whole month of May, people got together with friends or family for our Stepping Up For Cancer 10km walk in the countryside near Chenies Manor.  We raised over £1,400, money raised will help fund new state of the art scanners and ground-breaking medical research.

Thank you to everyone who took part this year. Some are new to this walk, and some have been doing the walk every year for many years. The Whitehead family have continued to be regular walkers and this year baby Gus joined them for the very first time. They first took part in 2005 when Miles Whitehead was a patient at the centre, and they went on to raise an incredible £33,000 in Mile’s memory. We also had a group of 20 from the Croxley Green U3A Strollers walking group.
