Golf day Moor Park June 2025

Two recent events raised nearly £37,000 for our patients

This year’s Stepping Up For Cancer spring walk on 5 May was a great day and a huge improvement weather-wise on last year’s rain-soaked walk. Although it still turned out to be a chilly day, that didn’t stop the enthusiasm of more than 100 walkers who took part. We had some amazing fundraisers this year and have raised £11,500, possibly the most ever raised in the walk’s 20 year history! Thanks to all our walkers, volunteers and generous donors for making this such a success.

This year’s Captain and Lady Captain of Moor Park Golf Club have been working incredibly hard to raise money for us. Captain David Lansdowne held his Gentlemen’s Dinner in May with an auction carried out by Gladstone Small, Ex England Test Cricketer, raising more than £3,600.

Moor Park Golf Club will hold their Family Fun Day on Saturday 3 August, from 11am to 3pm. It’s set to be a brilliant day out for local families, and they are proud to be supporting Paul Strickland Scanner Centre as part of the event: £1 from every ticket sold will go directly towards us.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £12 for children (non-members prices), and highlights include:

  • inflatables and fair stalls
  • Princess meet-and-greets
  • Ice cream and BBQ (available to purchase)
  • A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere in the stunning surroundings of the Club.

Book online at www.tinyurl.com/mpfamilyfun or contact Moor Park Golf Club for more information.

Thanks to the support of the Captain and Lady Captain, this year’s Golf Day was held at Moor Park on 9 June, enabling us to double the number of people taking part. Fabulous prizes were donated by many local companies for the auction, and auctioneer Andrew Binstock of Auction House London did an amazing job generating bids on the wonderful prizes on offer, helping us to raise a fantastic total of £25,000. Thank you to all 27 teams who took part as well as the volunteers who helped and all the prize donors.

Congratulations to winning team The Chorleywood Chippers!

Our 2024 Festive Fun Raffle First Prize winners enjoyed their afternoon tea at Claridge’s. Big thanks to Revelation Cleaners Ltd who donated this wonderful prize.
