By leaving a gift in his Will, long-standing supporter Phillip Parr plans to help others and give them the possibility of a cure.
Phillip Parr has been a supporter of Paul Strickland Scanner Centre since the mid 1990s and decided to leave a gift in his Will to help others benefit in the future. Phillip, a retired Head of 6th Form at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School, started supporting the Centre in the mid 1990s.
He said: “It was a local charity doing great things for local people.” When donations were requested at a colleague’s funeral in 2012, Phillip was glad to donate towards the charity which he already supported. Sadly, Phillip’s wife Bronwen passed away in 2022. She was about to start treatment and become a patient of Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, but unfortunately Supporter Phillip Parr plans to leave a gift in his Will to the Centre. that was not to be as things progressed too quickly for her. However, Phillip then decided that he wanted to leave a gift in his Will so that future patients could benefit from the top-class achievements being made at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre. He said: “I found it reassuring in the loss of my wife that there is an organisation from which other people will benefit. The work at the centre gives security and possibility of remission or curing cancer as a result of the huge advances that they are making.”
By leaving a gift to Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, Phillip is helping others and giving more people the possibility of a cure.
