Legacy gifts play a crucial role in what we are able to achieve for our patients. Remember A Charity Week is an opportunity for everyone to take a moment to consider leaving a gift to charity in their Will, after looking after family and friends.

This year’s Remember A Charity Week runs from 11 to 17 September 2023.

Your loved ones will always come first, but once you have taken care of them, even 5% of your estate left as a gift in your Will can make a difference for our patients of the future, however large or small it is. Jenny Grainge is one of our supporters who has taken the simple step of making provision for Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in her Will.

She said: “My introduction to Paul Strickland Scanner Centre was when my husband was diagnosed with cancer in June 2000. He had a course of radiotherapy, and we were very comforted by the care and kindness of the staff.

The opportunity then arose for me to support the centre. I wanted to help an organisation that did its very best to help and obviously a gift in my Will should, I hope, prolong that help.

By leaving a gift in your Will after looking after family and friends you can help us plan for the future.
