Runners complete the Vitality 10k and raise over £1,000 so cancer can be caught early

Supporter Rick Wilmott took on his second challenge in a month.
Rick, Kristie and Sam after the Vitality 10k run.

Rick and his sister Kristie Wilmott along with friend Sam Bridge completed the Vitality 10,000 last weekend and have raised over £1,000. This was Rick’s second challenge in a month taking part in The Big Half in London earlier in September. Over £2,000 has been raised to date from these two challenges.

Rick said “I have run the Vitality 10k and The Big Half in the past month for a fantastic cause. Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is a charity close to my heart as not only did they look after my dad before he passed away, but they are also looking after my mum. Nothing like keeping it in the family! Speaking of family, whilst I ran the Big Half on my own, I was joined by my sister Kristie and family friend Sam for the Vitality 10K. Here’s hoping we can raise some much-needed funds for the charity on these two challenges!

Rick, has raised over £4,000 from previous events completed. You can support them with these challenges at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre: Kristie’s page (enthuse.com)
