After receiving glowing delegate feedback in 2019, Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is repeating its acclaimed Oncological Imaging Course, held in association with Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is a recognised leader in cancer imaging and is co-located with Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, a centre of excellence for cancer treatment.
This year’s course will be held entirely online and is aimed at radiologists and oncologists, trainees, diagnostic and therapy radiographers as well as allied professionals. It gives delegates insight into how the different disciplines work together in order to gain maximum benefit from each other’s expertise.
Day 1- Radiologist-led (17 November)
Day 1 will feature joint talks, highlighting the collaboration between radiologists and oncologists, and focusing on various tumour groups including lung, haematological, urological and gynaeocological cancers. Standalone talks will also be presented as part of the programme. A keynote lecture will be delivered by Dr Jeanette Dickson, President of the Royal College of Radiologists.
Day 2 – Radiographer-led (18 November)
Day 2 will be delivered by a mix of Mount Vernon Cancer Centre radiotherapy staff and Paul Strickland Scanner Centre diagnostic radiographers, showcasing our unique relationship and collaborative approach. Topics include advances in MRI planning, pathways, IV and oral contrast protocols in diagnostic and planning CT, image quality and dose optimisation, as well as IRMER roles and responsibilities.

How to book
The ticket price includes admission to both days of the course, as well as access to the talks for a limited period of time after the event.
Tickets range from £40 for trainees, radiographers and allied professionals to £60 for consultants (Booking fees plus terms and conditions apply). Anyone who books before 17 September 2021 will qualify for a 10% early bird discount.
